The target goal of your Marketing Plan is “Objectives”. What do you expect to achieve? You may want to think of this plan as a yearly goal and amend this portion of your Plan each year. You may need to set new goals as you achieve your earlier goals. You may want to look forward and set a 3 year plan and a 5 year plan which can be amended and advanced as you progress.

The important thing to know is where you want to go, and realize once you’ve gotten there! You may have multiple objectives to – increase sales, increase margin, increase your customer base, expand your selection or inventory, increase renewals of existing customers, increase repeat sales, etc. Some of theses objectives may not seem to be related to sales, but all will be relevant to your marketing plan if they impact the way you operate and provide service to your customers.

Even objectives that relate to your “Brick and Mortar” location will have an impact on your marketing effort, and thus impact sales as well as your “brand image” in the eyes of your customers
.
